Security Matters to 2014 Voters
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
At the National Security Action Summit held in Washington yesterday, renowned pollster Kellyanne Conway unveiled the results of fresh public opinion research.
Mrs. Conway reported that American voters she queried are overwhelmingly concerned about security issues – and believe that their leaders are not doing enough to address them.
Particularly striking was the response of significant numbers of women, black and Hispanic voters. Like a majority of the population as a whole, they preferred a strategy described as “peace through strength” over one that seeks to disengage from foreign affairs, in the hope that others will leave us alone in return.
Mrs. Conway observed that candidates in the many close elections this fall ought to take note of these findings. It may be an opportunity to do well while doing good for the nation.
