Now, Honor the MARSOC-7
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
In March 2007, seven of America’s finest warriors were ambushed in an Afghan village. They courageously fought their way out of the trap, but soon discovered that the men who unsuccessfully tried to kill them had nonetheless inflicted devastating harm on their reputations.
The international press and their own chain of command claimed they had murdered innocent women and children in that village. Since there was no factual basis for that charge, these Marine special operators were soon cleared of wrongdoing. But the stigma recklessly inflicted by senior officers was not undone. Until now. Thanks to the tireless efforts of Rep. Walter Jones and others, the group known as the MARSOC-7 has just been fully exonerated by the Marine Corps Commandant.
The MARSOC-7’s selfless service must next be formally recognized, complemented by our help securing the gainful civilian employment these men deserve.
This is Frank Gaffney.
