Anniversay of Osama bin Laden's Death

The Obama-Biden campaign marked the first anniversary of the liquidation of Osama bin Laden in an appalling, yet telling, way. It used former President Bill Clinton to extol his successor’s role in the mission – and quoted selectively Republican nominee Mitt Romney to suggest he would not have done the same.

Never mind that Mr. Clinton repeatedly declined to take out bin Laden. What Gov. Romney said in context was absolutely correct: “I wouldn't want to over-concentrate on Bin Laden. He's one of many, many people who are involved in this global Jihadist effort. He's by no means the only leader. It's a very diverse group – Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood and of course different names throughout the world.”

Getting bin Laden isn’t the issue. Getting the rest of the threat right is.

Thank God Michele Bachmann!

All I can say is, thank God for Michele Bachmann. Yesterday, she made what should be big news in appearances on the Christian Broadcasting Network and on Glenn Beck’s radio program.

The Minnesota Republican and one-time presidential candidate, denounced the role the Muslim Brotherhood is being allowed to play in how our law enforcement personnel and military are being trained to counter the threat posed by Islamists who seek our destruction – a group that, as it happens, includes the Muslim Brotherhood.

Rep. Bachmann is absolutely right to be alarmed at such penetrations of our government. She told Glenn Beck she is leading an effort on Capitol Hill to get inspectors general of key government agencies and the House committees responsible for their oversight to investigate these Brotherhood operations. God speed, Michele Bachmann.

Glenn Beck's Public Service

Last night, Glenn Beck rendered an incalculable public service. He unveiled a documentary about the most serious single threat facing America today: the systematic, disciplined and increasingly successful effort to destroy Western civilization from within that has been mounted by the Muslim Brotherhood in this country for decades.
Entitled “Rumors of War 3,” this film brings together national security professionals (full disclosure, I appear in it), legislators, journalists and other experts who connect the proverbial “dots” about this threat. They describe the Brotherhood’s “civilization jihad” – a pre-violent companion to the terrorism being used for the same purpose: to impose the supremacist Islamic doctrine of shariah worldwide on Muslims and non-Muslims, alike.

SB 1070

The Supreme Court today weighs a profound constitutional question: Why isn’t the Obama administration doing its job and ensuring that illegal immigration is curbed through the enforcement of relevant statutes?

Arizona is directly in the crosshairs of those who are smuggling illegal aliens, drugs, weapons and terrorists into that state and, through it, into the rest of America. The effect of blocking Arizona’s duly enacted law known as SB 1070 authorizing police, for example, to check immigration status in routine traffic stops would be devastating. It would green-light Team Obama’s failure to fulfill its responsibility to uphold and enforce the laws of the land.

A lot is riding on this case. Pray for the people of Arizona – and for the rest of us – that the Supremes stand with the rule of law.

The Muslim Brotherhood In America

Obama's Folly In Egypt

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Last month, President Obama disregarded congressional objections and granted in a lump-sum payment $1.5 billion to the Muslim Brotherhood-dominated Egyptian government. The rashness of that decision – and the dangers associated with such U.S. submissiveness – are becoming clearer by the day.
For example, Egypt has just asked Interpol to arrest 16 Americans held hostage by Egypt until they were ransomed for $4 million. That’s the international police organization Mr. Obama recently allowed to operate here in unconstitutional ways.
Meanwhile, the Brotherhood in Cairo is moving towards a constitution that imposes shariah law. And now, Egypt has unilaterally broken long-term contracts to provide natural gas to Israel.
Mr. Obama has rewarded and emboldened our enemies, and no good will come of it.
