Presidential Ignorance
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Is expertise on national security and foreign policy a prerequisite for the presidency? The answer obviously should be a resounding “Yes” – especially in a world as dangerous as ours.
Until recently, though, most politicians, pundits and other so-called “smart people” insisted that this election was all about jobs, the economy and deficit reduction. Period.
Then, GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain seemed unaware that Communist China has the bomb. Suddenly, the elites warn that the White House is no place for on-the-job-training about the nation’s defense.
Unfortunately, the same could be said of Barack Obama. He came into the presidency understanding little about security policy. He still seems largely clueless – particularly about the danger posed by his embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood.
The American people deserve better – and better insist on getting it.
