Prosecute Jihadism

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.Nearly four years ago, Army Major Nidal Hassan shouted the jihadist battle cry “Allahu akhbar” as he murdered thirteen of our countrymen. His trial for the Fort Hood massacre finally begins today, an indictment of the way we are fighting such enemies.For starters, Hassan is on trial for “workplace violence,” not terrorism, let alone jihad. He has been allowed to appear with a shariah-adherent Muslim’s beard, in direct violation of Army regulations. We have yet to learn how Hassan’s superiors ignored abundant warnings that his devotion to the Islamist doctrine of shariah made him a ticking time-bomb. It is past time that Hassan is punished for his act of jihad. But those whose willful blindness enabled it – and is putting the rest of us at risk – must be held accountable, too. Obama's Wars

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.American embassies are closed in Muslim nations from Mauritania to Bangladesh in light of threats from a still-quite-dangerous al Qaeda. Other Islamists are waging, or threatening, civil wars to impose their totalitarian shariah doctrine.Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin contemptuously rejected Barack Obama’s request not to give asylum to NSA turn-coat Edward Snowden. And Communist China is projecting growing military power to control the strategic South and East China seas. Such are the predictable consequences of the Obama Doctrine of diminishing our country, emboldening our enemies and undermining our friends. For too long, we have foolishly indulged in hollowing out our military, losing wars and otherwise signaling weakness and irresolution. CNN: Benghazigate Exposed

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.It seems the dam is finally breaking on the Benghazigate scandal. Yesterday, CNN reported that dozens of intelligence personnel were on the ground last September 11th when two U.S. facilities came under jihadist attack.The network says that the CIA is “going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing [in Benghazi] remains a secret.” That entails “pure intimidation” of CIA operatives with first-hand knowledge of what went on there, to keep them from telling the truth to the American people and the Congress.For months, Rep. Frank Wolf and now over 160 other legislators have co-sponsored a resolution to establish a special select committee to investigate Benghazigate. Aiding the Enemy

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.Yesterday, Army Private Bradley Manning was found not guilty of aiding the enemy when he made public vast quantities of classified information. He was, nonetheless, convicted of 19 other charges – including five counts of espionage – which would seem, by definition, to have involved aiding the enemy.There are some technical reasons for the judge’s ruling. But the question occurs: Could the fact that our government doesn’t know who the enemy is have some bearing on this trial’s peculiar outcome?For example, Team Obama persists in “engaging” the Muslim Brotherhood. It also seems okay with the Taliban retaking Afghanistan and so, recently released five of its top commanders from Guantanamo Bay. Huma's Inconvenient Facts

Yet, it seems the mainstream media and many others are deliberately ignoring – or papering over – the fact that Ms. Abedin was brilliantly placed to run Islamist influence operations for sixteen years under the recently departed Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
