Palestinian Poisoning of Israel's Wells

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.Israel resumes direct negotiations with the Palestinians today, thanks to its agreement to release another one hundred terrorists from Israeli jails – even though most will likely resume their jihad against the Jewish State.Lethal insult is added to injury by the fact that the Palestinians are simultaneously making clear their abiding determination to destroy Israel in one of the most revolting ways imaginable. Each year, Palestinian towns and villages on the high ground of the West Bank send some fifty million cubic meters of raw sewage downhill to pollute the streams, lands and aquifers of Israel. Among other pollutants, this practice is introducing the polio virus into Israel’s water supply. This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.Something important is missing in the breathless coverage of the psychodrama that involves a clearly mentally ill Anthony Weiner and the woman who is enabling him, despite his appalling sexual disorder, to run for mayor of New York. What is absent from the generally sympathetic, if not actually fawning, coverage of Weiner’s wife, Huma Abedin, is a key part of her background. It should preclude this couple from being anywhere near power, let running America’s most important city.Ms. Abedin has been involved for nearly twenty years, both through family and personally, with the Muslim Brotherhood and a top al Qaeda financier named Abdullah Omar Naseef. These ties demand questions of Hillary Clinton, whom Abedin worked under for most of that time. They must finish off Anthony Weiner’s literally naked public ambitions. How Jihadists Get Recruited

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.I had a front row seat yesterday as members of the Senate Judiciary Committee took turns denouncing the terrorist detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. They had many complaints about this facility and the subcommittee chairman, Sen. Dick Durban, stacked the deck with witnesses who agreed with them. When my turn came to respond, I took on the charge most insistently – and misleadingly – made. The critics repeatedly justified their calls for closing Gitmo by branding it a “recruiting tool” for our terrorist enemies. Actually, a far bigger boost to the Islamists’ recruitment would be tangible evidence that we are losing. And that’s how the jihadists would perceive our abandoning an effective weapon against them like Gitmo. Keep Gitmo Open

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.Yesterday, al Qaeda took credit for freeing hundreds of jihadists from Iraqi prisons, allowing them to return to their so-called “holy war” against the rest of us. This mass jail-break makes a mockery of President Obama’s repeated claim that al Qaeda is “on the path to defeat.” It also comes as his allies on Capitol Hill are hoping today to resuscitate his equally delusional idea of closing the world’s most secure place to imprison such terrorists: Guantanamo Bay.I have been asked to testify before the Senate to make the case for keeping Gitmo open. I will explain that doing otherwise will not only turn loose still more jihadis. They will see it as yet another defeat for America – and that will surely mean more terrorism, and more of it here. Stay Out of the Syrian Quagmire

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.Congressional leaders are quietly clearing the way for President Obama to begin overtly arming the so-called Syrian “rebels.” Despite the very real dangers, this is happening with essentially no public debate. Syria is the ultimate quagmire. Its government is killing innocent civilians every day, but so are the Islamists who will inevitably get our lethal weapons – even if we are promised they’ll only go to the several hundred, ostensibly secular officers of the Free Syrian Army.Let’s not kid ourselves. Picking sides in this fight between Muslim Brotherhood, al Qaeda and other Sunni extremists on the one hand and Iran and Hezbollah’s team will embroil us in a conflict whose winner will be our enemy, either way. Kerry's Folly, Israel's Peril

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.Secretary of State John Kerry has bullied Israel into making further concessions to its Palestinian enemies. In exchange for the Palestinians’ agreement-in-principle to resume peace negotiations, the Israelis will release more convicted terrorists. If the Jewish State pays this price, it must expect the same results as before: More hardened criminals unleashed to wage jihad against Israel – and against any Palestinians that might actually wish to make peace with her. For that reason, among many others, there will be no real progress towards a genuine peace. And inevitably pressure will begin to mount all over again for further Israeli concessions.The United States’ interest is in a strong and secure Israel.
