Shariah's Jihad in London

By now, you have probably seen the video of two jihadists fresh from butchering a British soldier yesterday in south London.  Needless to say, the images of this savagery are shocking.
But so are the efforts being made to dissemble about the impetus behind this atrocity in a Western capital.  Islamists and their apologists would have us believe it has nothing to do with the tenets of shariah - the supremacist Islamic doctrine that impels jihad.
In fact, the perpetrators shouted "Allahu akbar" - the jihadist's invocation of God's will - as they hacked away at their victim.  Then, one cited to bystanders Koranic passages justifying their murderous violence.
Make no mistake:  This is the face of shariah and it is past time that we recognize it as such, and take steps to counter it.

Immigration Deform

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
We are indebted to five valiant Republican senators - led by Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Jeff Sessions of Alabama -for exposing the many serious flaws in the so-called "comprehensive immigration" bill.
While they were outvoted in the Judiciary Committee yesterday, they have made a compelling record that this legislation effectively grants amnesty to millions of illegal aliens up front, while failing to secure the border.  If enacted, we'll surely have millions more of them coming here and given amnesty, too.  That's a formula for making the problem worse, not making it go away.
The "Gang of 8" bill goes next to the Senate floor where the votes of another thirty-six Senators are needed to prevent it from advancing further.  If you love our country, please encourage your Senators to be among them.

Space Weather

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
The moon was hit spectacularly yesterday by a meteor, calling to mind Ronald Reagan's notion that, if a similar thing were about to happen to earth, people everywhere would come together to save the planet and our civilization.
We may be about to test that proposition.
At the moment, we face not an asteroid but something that could be as fatal for modern industrial societies.  It's called "space weather" and it can have a devastating effect on our electrical grid and everything that depends upon it - including our lives.
A conference in Washington this week reveals we are not protecting our electrical grid against space weather and similarly catastrophic electromagnetic pulse effects that our enemies can induce.  There is literally no time to waste if we are to keep America's lights on.

Obama and Benghazigate

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
As investigators probe for presidential involvement in the erupting scandals over politicization of the IRS and monitoring of the Associated Press, the question is: Why didn't the President do anything during the eight hours of attacks on Americans in Libya last September 11th?
Chris Wallace of Fox News repeatedly pressed presidential advisor Dan Pfeiffer yesterday for answers.  Pfeiffer would only say that Mr. Obama spent the night in the White House monitoring the situation.
There is no other evidence of the President's involvement. But if true, then his personal responsibility for the failure to come to the aid of our besieged countrymen is all the more clear-cut -- and outrageous.

Armed Forces Day

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Tomorrow is Armed Forces Day, when we are asked to honor those who put their lives on the line for the rest of us.  The least we can do is thank a serviceman or woman.  But honestly, that's something we should all do every day.
Here's something else we should resolve to do, on this occasion and from now on: Tell our elected representatives to really support the troops.  That means ensuring that they have the weapons, other equipment and training they need to secure our freedom. And we must stop subjecting the military to social experimentation that burdens its personnel with politically driven agendas and distracts them from their vital missions.
We live in dangerous times.  Let's do our part for those who stand between us and such dangers.

Say No to Perez

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Yesterday, radical Hispanic activists in Washington threatened Republican senators with electoral retribution for challenging President Obama's nomination of Thomas Perez to be the next Secretary of Labor.
Such threats are noteworthy for two reasons:  First, they are being made by radical Latino agitators on behalf of one of their own.  Among the many reasons for rejecting Perez for any high office is that, as president of a group called Casa de Maryland, he has - like many of them - actively helped subvert U.S. immigration law.
Second, we are on notice that such self-styled "leaders" of the Hispanic community will use any additional political power to harm the GOP.  For Republicans contemplating giving amnesty to untold millions of illegal immigrants in the expectation it will bring them new voters, I have one word: Fuggedaboutit.
