The Iranian Threat

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
This week, America’s top intelligence officials warned that Iran may be planning to attack the United States here at home. The Iranian regime has been killing our people elsewhere since 1979. Now they seem ready – and willing – to come for us here.
If the mullahs of Iran think they can attack us with impunity in our homeland, the question has to be asked: Would they do it in a relatively small way or try to bring about “a world without America,” as Iran’s president has promised to do?
My bet is on the latter, and the use of an electro-magnetic pulse attack to destroy our electrical grid and the society that relies on it.
We are on notice: Iran is at war with us, and we await their strike at our extreme peril.

The President's Agenda

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
President Obama needs to come clean with the American people about Afghanistan. He clearly wants U.S. forces out ASAP. To that end, his Defense Secretary, Leon Panetta, told us yesterday he hoped our combat operations in Afghanistan would end by December 2013. In the same speech, however, Secretary Panetta indicated that our troops would still be needed to fight terrorists there through the end of 2014.
The 2013 date came as a complete surprise to our so-called ally in Kabul, Afghan President Hamid Karzai, and others. It invites our abject defeat since the Afghans surely won’t be able to secure the place by then without our help.
We can lose Afghanistan without waiting another year. If that is what President Obama intends to do, he should just come out and say it.

An American Hero's Freedom of Speech

Lieutenant General Jerry Boykin is one of America’s true heroes. He led our special forces in many of our country’s most difficult recent military operations.
General Boykin is also an ordained minister. And, since he retired from the Army, he has been working tirelessly to awaken the American people to the threat posed by a supremacist Islamic doctrine called shariah.
Muslims determined to bring shariah to this country, like CAIR – the Council on American Islamic Relations, are trying to silence Jerry Boykin. They are even demanding that he not be allowed to participate in prayer services at West Point and elsewhere.
If we are to preserve our right to free speech and to hear the truth from those like General Boykin, we must stand firm against the Islamists and their anti-constitutional shariah doctrine.

The Muslim Brotherhood Trying To Control NYC

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
Get this: A Muslim Brotherhood front is demanding that the city most targeted by terrorists fire the best police chief in the country.
Incredibly, the New York Times and some others are supporting calls by the Council on American Islamic Relations for the removal of New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly. His firing offense? Mr. Kelly appeared in a film called “The Third Jihad” and allowed it to be used to train his police officers.
This campaign is part of a long-term Muslim Brotherhood strategy to keep us ignorant of the threat it poses here in America, and thereby unable to counter it. “The Third Jihad” is a terrific antidote and should be seen by everybody. And Commissioner Ray Kelly should be commended for his superb leadership, not punished for offending our enemies.

Obama's Audacity of Deceit

President Obama’s address to Congress Tuesday night has been described as delusional, with its unwarranted claims of success and its denial of real setbacks. In fact, it would be more accurate to describe it as deluding – a deliberate and aggressive effort to deceive the American people about the true state of our union.

From the man who brought us Audacity of Hope, we are now being treated to the audacity of deceit.

Barack Obama is not the first politician to distort the truth. Nor will he be the last. But it is deceitful for him to depict as know-nothings people who correctly see in his policies and conduct an effort to “fundamentally transform” America in ways that are diminishing it. And this politician must be called on and held accountable for doing that.

America's Forecast

Did you hear the weather report? I am not talking about the local one. The one you really need to be paying attention to comes from space.
On Sunday, the largest solar eruption in six years occurred. If that seems pretty far away from you, the radiation and charged particles thus unleashed are headed here. And they could be far more devastating to us than any hurricane, tornado, drought or blizzard.
The problem is that our electrical grid and electronic devices have not been protected against the effects of such solar storms. They can potentially disrupt our power infrastructure – and all that depends upon it – possibly for years.
More such intense solar storms are headed our way. If we don’t prepare, our country and people may not be able to weather them.
