Farewell to Frank Wolf
Yesterday, an extraordinary public servant announced that he would be retiring next year from Congress. Inevitably, the political junkies are mulling the implications of Representative Frank Wolf’s departure for the next election. I am more worried about what it will mean to lose a man who has long been a singular watchman on the wall in the federal legislature.
Mr. Wolf has distinguished himself as a champion of liberty. During three decades on Capitol Hill, Mr. Wolf has been able to translate into action his principled and courageous stands against freedom’s enemies, foreign and domestic.
Notably, Frank Wolf has tirelessly sought accountability for the Benghazigate scandal. Here’s hoping that Mr. Wolf’s colleagues will honor the coming close of his exemplary service by creating the select investigatory committee that he knows is needed.
