Just Say No to Fast Track for Obama
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.
The House Republican leadership evidently thinks it can surrender what little is left of Congress’ constitutional authority to President Obama. So, a vote is expected tomorrow on so-called “Fast Track Authority.” A more accurate name for it would be “Blank Check Authority.”
President Obama has, of course, done nothing to warrant Congress eliminating the opportunity to make substantive changes to sweeping agreements he has been negotiating with Pacific nations. To the contrary, his unbroken record of unacceptable deals, combined with the chance he is seizing in the so-called “Trans-Pacific Partnership” to surrender American sovereignty and promote world government, demand congressional quality control.
Please, take a moment right now to urge your representative to vote “No” on Trade Promotion Authority. Congress must be able to fix bad deals, not reduced to rubber-stamping them.
