No More Disastrous Ceasefires!

This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.

At the White House today, Donald Trump will likely press Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to end hostilities in Gaza. Both men would be well advised, however, to have Iran top of mind.

Of course, Iran’s regime precipitated the horrific invasion of Israel by Hamas two years ago. The mullahs are also assiduously reconstituting their ability to attack the Jewish State again. 

In short, prematurely stopping Israel’s “12-Day War” against them did not actually end it. 

A cease-fire in Gaza now won’t result in peace there, either. It will only revive and embolden Hamas and others in the Global Islamic Movement – some of whom Mr. Trump envisions taking over the place when the shooting stops. 

That outcome would be a strategic defeat for Israel – and for us. We must not thereby guarantee the perpetuation of what truly is the ultimate endless war.
