Obama's Misleadership
This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute. The Republican Party has found a theme that speaks to one of the most important indictments of the Obama presidency. In remarks last night in Tampa, several of those who addressed the GOP convention denounced the practice of “leading from behind.” President Obama became forever associated with this peculiar notion of American leadership when his surrogates claimed that’s how he was helping others secure the overthrow of a man his administration once considered an ally, Libyan dictator Muammar Qaddafi. The truth is, when America doesn’t assume the sort of leadership role that works – leading from in front, providing real direction and actually shaping the outcome – you get led around by the nose. In Libya and elsewhere that has meant empowering the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda. We can’t afford more such misleadership.
