A new tanker war has erupted in the waters of the Middle East, with Iranian proxies attacking, seizing and otherwise targeting vessels in the Red and Arabian Seas. The immediate object of such piracy, ostensibly carried out by Houthi rebels based in Yemen, is to endanger Israel-tied commercial shipping. 
These attacks, however, fit a pattern of calculated “strategic arson” being perpetrated elsewhere by Iran’s sponsor – Chinese dictator Xi Jinping – as he prepares for a shooting war of his own. 
Notably, a U.S. destroyer that interrupted one such attack on Sunday subsequently had two Houthi ballistic missiles splash down in her vicinity.
The more our too-small Navy is tied down half-a-world away from the Pacific the better for a man who likely has more such depleting distractions in mind before he moves against Taiwan and us in the months to come.

During his first presidential campaign, Barack Obama promised the “fundamental transformation” of our country. Now, in what amounts to the third Obama-Biden administration, his team is busily effecting the fundamental transformation of Israel.
This agenda was underway even before Hamas viciously invaded the Jewish State on October 7th as Obama-Biden 3.0 supported the Israeli left’s determined efforts to bring down Benjamin Netanyahu’s government. In the weeks since that attack – empty rhetoric to the contrary notwithstanding – it has striven to prevent Israel’s new unity government from forcibly destroying Hamas.
Predictably, once the priority became freeing hostages, justifying humanitarian “pauses,” the initiative passed to Hamas. In the process, Israel’s military power is being negated. 
In short order, every Israeli will be transformed into a hostage, whose fates are no longer in their own hands, but those of external forces intensifying their peril.

Why did Israel agree to suspend its military operations against Hamas? The obvious reason is that the jihadists’ strategy of taking hostages paid off once again in offsetting the vastly superior firepower of the Jewish State. 
Domestic pressure from hostage families, combined with escalating international demonstrations and demands had the predictable – and intended – effect.
The role of the Biden administration was probably decisive, however. Despite its repeated professions of support for Israel’s right to self-defense, almost from the get-go, Team Biden has undermined the Netanyahu coalition government via emergency “humanitarian” aid to the Palestinians, untold billions to their sponsors in Iran and collaboration with Hamas’ allies in Qatar. Unannounced threats to constrict vital U.S. weapons resupplies to Israel may have proven determinative.
The question is: Will such subversive actions not only extend the cease-fire, but disastrously contribute to Israel’s defeat?

The year ahead may be among the most fraught, with enemies foreign and domestic seemingly set on fundamentally transforming this nation and the world, in the process rendering us less secure, prosperous and free. 
We pray that you will help each of us comprehend and address the challenges posed by such forces. With your continued blessing and our hard work, we will prosper and be able to bequeath to our children and children’s children all that you have bestowed upon us.

Mohammed is considered the “perfect man” by Sharia-supremacists. While many of their co-religionists do not emulate his conduct and utterances, the authorities of the faith and untold millions of other Muslims do.
Notably, the latter revere a practice known as “hudna” – a temporary truce Mohammed cynically struck with an enemy tribe, then violated when he was sufficiently rearmed to destroy them. 
Tragically, under intense pressure from Team Biden, Israel has just agreed to a four-day “humanitarian pause” that will almost certainly turn into a hudna with Hamas. 
In exchange for fifty hostages Hamas seized in its horrifying, Sharia-compliant invasion of Israel last month, the jihadis will inevitably be resupplied with so-called “humanitarian assistance.” And the pressure to extend the cease-fire further will be irresistible.
Mohammed would be proud of Hamas – and contemptuous of the dupes enabling it to fight again another day.

The so-called “international community” is increasingly insistent that Israel must stop its efforts to destroy Hamas, the perpetrators of the worst program against Jews since the Holocaust. Seemingly unlikely coalitions of Marxists and Sharia-supremacist mobs are adding “muscle” here and elsewhere. 
Israel’s leaders, people and true friends, however, understand that agreeing to ceasing fire now would be dangerous, allowing Hamas to regroup and rearm and – as promised – to conduct more October 7-style atrocities. 
These realities make particularly unwelcome the call for an immediate cease-fire from the World Health Organization’s Marxist Director-General Tedros Ghebreyesus on the grounds that there is a “public health emergency” in Gaza. Worse yet, come next May, he expects to be granted the power to order Israel to ceasefire. 
Neither Israel, nor the U.S., nor any other state that reveres its sovereignty can allow that to happen.
