Suddenly, the nation must confront critical decisions: In upcoming votes on the House of Representatives’ annual defense authorization act, Republicans will try to counter the radical left’s “fundamental transformation” of the U.S. military. 
Most Democrats, however, are expected to contend that government funding for racist quotas and indoctrination, transgender accommodations in the uniformed services, abortion-related travel and the like are appropriate Pentagon priorities. 
Meanwhile, the Senate is being asked to confirm General “C.Q.” Brown as the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – even though he apparently is all-in on such readiness-sapping social engineering of our only military. 
Votes on these topics offer what may be Congress’ last chance to stop this Marxist make-over of our armed forces. A Chinese Communist Party preparing for a shooting war against us earnestly hopes our representatives will fail to seize it.

Yesterday, the Senate Armed Services Committee politely thanked and gingerly questioned President Biden’s nominee to be the nation’s next top officer. It wasn’t until two Senators broke what appears to be a taboo that the elephant in the room – namely, the radicalism of General Charles “C.Q.” Brown and his Commander-in-Chief’s agenda for “transforming” the U.S. military – became evident.
I was among thirty-one signers of an Open Letter urging that the prospective Joint Chiefs Chairman be questioned about the Marxist “woke” policies of racial preferences, political commissars and transgender accommodations that are crippling recruiting and harming readiness. Thankfully, Senators Mike Rounds and Eric Schmitt did so. 
Gen. Brown’s responses showed that America and her armed forces urgently require another hearing, this time fully devoted to exploring the damage being done to our only military on the eve of a possible war with China.

Last Friday, the U.S. Army finished destroying the last of America’s stockpile of chemical weapons. The Biden administration and other arms control enthusiasts boasted about the success of an international ban called the Chemical Weapons Convention, and disarmament agreements more generally.
What it actually demonstrates is the delusion of believing that – especially wholly unverifiable accords like the chemical weapons treaty – when negotiated with unalterably dishonest regimes, result in anything but the unilateral disarmament of the United States and other law-abiding nations. 
In fact, every one of our enemies still has some amount of chemical weapons stockpiled. And the Chinese Communist Party has actually been murderously attacking us with one called fentanyl every day for years now, killing over 100,000 Americans last year, alone.
We must hold the Chinese Communists accountable. Ditto those who contend that so-called “arms control” enhances our security.

Four decades ago, I helped staff the Senate Armed Services
Committee in supporting Ronald Reagan’s reversal of Jimmy Carter’s budget cuts that had “hollowed out” the U.S. military. Tomorrow, that panel has an opportunity to begin an even more urgently needed salvation of our armed forces.
 
The occasion will be a hearing on the nomination of Gen. Charles “C.Q.” Brown to be the next Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Will he help end not only Joe Biden’s failure to adequately fund the Pentagon as a shooting war looms with the Chinese Communist Party?
 
The Committee must also establish whether Gen. Brown will strongly support in the future, as he has to date, the Marxist “transformation” that’s making Carter’s hollow military look robust.
 
We require uniformed leaders who oppose policies that weaken, demoralize and invite the defeat of our troops – and country.

One of my longtime friends and valued colleagues is an international energy expert named Gal Luft. These days Dr. Luft might be better known as “David” for he now faces alone the Goliath of a U.S. government determined to crush him to protect President Joe Biden.
My money is on David in this fight. Dr. Luft has thus far foiled efforts by the FBI and Department of Justice to conceal information he gave them in 2019. 
Moreover, Gal Luft released yesterday a video that has gone viral. It describes his first-hand knowledge of payments made by CEFC, a Chinese energy company he advised, to former Vice President Biden and his family. He also recounts the extensive official cover-up of such evidence.
The Bidens have picked a fight with the wrong man. Let us pray for this David’s safety and his ultimate triumph.

Neil Shen and Company have thus far successfully deployed bipartisan contributions to get away with such treachery. That must end now.
