Taiwan yesterday denounced Chinese military incursions, including “shooting exercises” in international shipping routes. Such drills demonstrate the Chinese Communist Party’s capability for no-notice action against the democratic island nation.President Trump declined yesterday to say how he would respond to such an attack. And defense contractor RAND recently engaged in astonishing “threat deflation,” contending that “the People’s Liberation Army remains focused on upholding CCP rule, not preparing for war.”So, where do things actually stand? With thousands of Chinese soldiers now here, Beijing could act against Taiwan while creating conditions that would greatly complicate, if not preclude, a U.S. response.But Mr. Trump’s Cabinet is as hardline on the CCP as any in our history, and his unwillingness to be drawn about a hypothetical Chinese invasion should be seen by Beijing as a deterrent, not an invitation to attack.This is Frank Gaffney.

Thirty years ago today, Sharia supremacists attacked New York City’s World Trade Center, narrowly missing its destruction, ultimately wrought by one of the perpetrators’ uncle, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, on 9/11 eight years later.Arguably, the latter act would not have happened if America had initially understood the totalitarian Islamic doctrine that impelled such violence against us. Instead, as the ’93 bombing’s lead prosecutor, Andrew McCarthy, observed, we engaged in “willful blindness” about Sharia and failed to learn that it demands faithful adherents practice jihad.Fortunately, Mr. Trump’s pick to lead the FBI, Director Kash Patel, and his splendid new deputy, Dan Bongino, have the clarity of vision and the courage to end our persistent willful blindness and the peril it represents. This is Frank Gaffney with the Secure Freedom Minute.Another merchant ship under the control of the Chinese Communist Party has apparently been responsible for cutting an important piece of undersea infrastructure. On this occasion the location was close to home, in waters near a Taiwanese island. And, as has been the case as far away as the Baltic Sea, the damage was done by the vessel’s anchor to a key fiber optic cable. Sometimes, the disruption was to an energy pipeline.National security sophisticates describe such incidents as “gray zone” actions, meaning they don’t rise to the level of actual warfare. But that is just a rationale justifying inaction on the part of the nations impacted.In fact, these are acts of war. They are part of a military doctrine that calls for “shaping the battlefield” in preparation for hostilities and can confer a possibly decisive advantage on the perpetrating party.In a memo on Friday, President Trump described the Chinese Communist Party’s PRC as a “foreign adversary.” He has initiated financial warfare steps aimed at ending our underwriting of this enemy. Unbeknownst to most Americans, the Chinese Communist Party has waged "unrestricted warfare" against the United States for decades. In May 2019, it went even further, declaring in its main propaganda outlet, People's Daily, a whole-of-society "People's War" on our country.In the intelligence business, these are known as clues. Unfortunately, the U.S. government has basically chosen to ignore such ominous realities. Until now. On February 21st, President Trump took action. In a memorandum to relevant senior subordinates, he established the "America First Investment Policy," announcing, among other things, that "The United States will…use all necessary legal instruments to further deter United States persons from investing in the PRC's military-industrial sector."With this initiative, Mr. Trump has set the stage for ending a national security travesty: Wall Street's continued underwriting of our mortal enemy.Bless you, President Trump. The immensity of the depravity and evil of the Sharia-supremacists doing business as Hamas has just been underscored yet again by its latest act of barbarous inhumanity. 
On February 20th, the Gazan jihadist regime turned over the corpses of four Israelis kidnapped during its genocidal attack on October 7th 2023. Two were infants, Ariel and Kfir Bibas. The third was represented as the remains of their mother, Shiri.
Israeli forensic experts confirmed the identity of the murdered children. But Hamas evidently is still withholding Shiri’s body. 
Such sick cruelty violates the so-called Gaza “ceasefire.” Worse, it demonstrates anew the sorts of horrific violence and psychological torture Hamas yearns to inflict on every Israeli – and every American. 
It’s past time for the Hamas death cult to get exactly what itdeserves: Extinction.

The designated terrorist group Hamas has released the bodies of four Israelis seized during its genocidal attack on Israel on October 7th, 2023. The corpses of a mother and her two infant children were among them.These victims’ remains were returned pursuant to what is, in accord with Mohammed’s example, a “hudna” or temporary pause affording the jihadists an opportunity to regroup, rearm, and resume the war at a time of their choosing. Hamas officials have repeatedly said they will conduct more October 7th-style invasions when they can.Adding obscene insult to the immense injury originally inflicted is that Israel is paying to get back its dead innocents by returning to the fight hundreds of highly accomplished terrorist convicts. Enough. It is time to free the rest of the hostages – hopefully alive if any still are – by destroying Hamas.This is Frank Gaffney.
