Two words describe last night’s presidential debate: Elder abuse. 
President Biden’s alarming physical appearance, peculiar affect and robotic performance confirmed what’s long been discernable: The man is of an age and mental condition that disqualifies him from serving the next four years in the world’s most demanding job. 
And those who insist that he run again, and pretend he’s up to it, are not only abusing a senior citizen. They are deserving and endangering our country and its people.
 
Now, it seems just a matter of time before the inevitable happens: Joe Biden announces that he wants to spend more time with his family and Kamala Harris gets an offer she can’t refuse to spend more with hers. 
It will be a fascinating spectacle to see who gets served up instead. My guess is it will be the dreadful Michele Obama.

Tonight will see the earliest presidential debate in the history of such televised events. The timing raises the suspicion that, if President Biden’s widely documented cognitive disabilities are unmistakably on display, there will still be time for the Democratic Party to engineer a new ticket, replacing both him and his appalling vice president, Kamala Harris.
 
To be sure, the debate’s arrangements seem designed to prop up Mr. Biden. None of those advantages or, for that matter, the sort of chemical interventions that reportedly made his State of the Union address so odd, may matter if former President Trump calmly and persuasively exposes Biden’s deeply unpopular record.
 
That means, in particular, illuminating Joe Biden’s devastation of our  country’s economy, energy security, borders, and sovereignty and his submission to China and undermining of Israel – policies that appall most voters, and must be reversed.

House Speaker Mike Johnson confirmed last night what has long been obvious. He told Sean Hannity, “The January 6 committee was, we think, wrongfully constituted. We think the work was tainted. We think that they may have very well covered up evidence and maybe even more nefarious activities.”
 
These findings draw on a rigorous investigation led by Rep. Barry Loudermilk into what was transparently an instrument for political warfare created by then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi. They discredit the Jan. 6 panel’s narrative about an “insurrection” in the Capitol. And they make utterly untenable Joe Biden’s lawfare against those accused of mounting such an assault or withholding executive privileged information about it. 
 
Mike Johnson says he’ll file an amicus brief supporting my friend Steve Bannon’s urgent request for the Supreme Court to keep him out of prison. Let us pray it does so.

Surgeon General Vivek Murthy just declared “gun violence” a public health emergency. He wants “assault weapons” and magazines holding more than ten bullets banned.
 
Fortunately, for those of us committed to the principle of self-defense and the unalienable, God-given right to “own and bear arms,” our Constitution provides a bulwark against the government’s seizure of such arms. 
 
But Dr. Murthy’s declaration follows the adoption of a new treaty that could have profound implications for gun owners and other Americans. According to constitutional attorney Michael Farris, it would require the the United States to change its laws in order to create a “focal point” to comply with the World Health Organization’s directives. And WHO’s Director General considers gun violence to be a “public health emergency of international concern.”
 
The U.S. Senate must consider and reject this WHO treaty amending its International Health Regulations.

Roughly a fifth of the U.S. Senate is comprised of Democrats and Independents up for reelection this fall. Each of them may soon cast a vote that will illuminate their attitudes towards some of the most divisive issues of our time.
 
President Biden wants a radical leftist Oregon judge named Mustafa Taher Kasubhai to have a lifetime appointment to the U.S. District Court there. 
 
Never mind that he: embraces cultural Marxist identity politics; exemplifies his state’s soft-on-crime attitude towards the riots precipitated by Black Lives Matter in 2020; admires one its inspirations, a so-called “anti-racist” racist named Ibrahim X. Kendi;  and describes the United States as “Islamophobic” and Muslim assimilation as “erasure.” 
 
Any senator who believes a man with such toxic views should wield the power of a federal judge must henceforth be accountable for sharing them. Do yours?

“Victims of jihad Unite.” That battle-cry should be heard globally as it represents the best hope for enabling people who are being persecuted by Sharia-supremacists – and those determined to spare them further harm – to join forces. 
 
The numbers are absolutely staggering. By some estimates, over 300 million Christians are experiencing “heavy persecution” – the vast majority of them at the hands of Muslims who adhere to Islam’s totalitarian Sharia code that commands them to practice jihad. 
 
Since October 7th, Jews in Israel and elsewhere have been subjected to similar murderous and other forms of jihadist persecution. The African-Jewish Alliance will be in Washington next week to help victims of jihad in Africa, Israel and beyond make common cause. It starts with making clear, and jointly resisting, the Islamic extremism that is the common-denominator behind so much of their shared suffering.
